These are from our Fall break trip to Bear Lake which we took mid-October. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was stunning. We had a great time going on walks, to the park, swimming at the pool and just hanging out.
We took a trip one day into Logan and attended a fall festival there with my brother Mike and his kids.
I was pretty impressed with my photography skills from this last photo!!!!

Talmage
Talmage had the less-than original costume of Luke Skywalker this year (what do you do when that is the absolute only thing they will consider?). My kids absolutely love most things about Halloween and we had fun decorating with spiderwebs, making kleenex ghosts for our kitchen fan, and making halloween sugar cookies. Talmage unfortunately got sick and had to miss his Halloween party at school (ear infection--all four of my kids are sick. Shoot me now.) But we had a great time trick or treating and enjoying the other fall festivities anyway.

Ian!
Halloween is the best time of year for a three year old who eats, sleeps, thinks, dreams treats. It has been a fun month with Ian! He was excited to be a pirate and absolutely loved the various parties we went to--Family party, preschool party, and ward carnival.

Trey Time
Trey has also been sick this week. He and Talmage both came down with ear infections and he has been pretty unhappy. Let's be honest, we've all been unhappy about it. He has got to be my most tempermental child, which doesn't help the fact that he has a twin. Many times this week I have asked myself "Why do I have so many kids?!?!?" I love them all very much but it's so exhausting some days. In spite of his moodiness, he continues to be so fun and adds so much to our family. He has recently started saying "Ian" which delights #2 child to no end. He reminds me so much of Talmage at that age, in both looks and temperment. He is obsessed with being outside and like Talmage used to do, will stand at the door squealing and pound on it until I let him outside. He missed his sister while she was in the hospital, even though she's a bit of a bully to him. She likes to wrestle him to the ground and lay on him until he cries. Nice huh. What do we have to look forward to with those two?!

Mia's Moments
The last week was not kind to Mia! She developed another infection which came on very very quickly and was admitted to the hospital within a couple of hours of developing symptoms. Good thing too! The infection had progressed into her blood again. So while I hate hospitals, I am extremely grateful to the doctor on call who admitted us so quickly. It is a scary thing to have a child with such a life-threatening disorder, but we're learning to easily recognize the signs and symptoms and have been blessed thus far. She spent three days there, and it was once again, one of the worst experiences of my parenting life thus far. She was awesome and within a few hours of receiving antibiotics was back to her cheerful, delightful self, but it was extremely hard to be there. And trying to work out babysitting, etc for my other darlings was nightmarish as well. our neighbors stepped up tremendously and I count my blessings that we live in such a great area. I didn't take any photos of Mia while we were there, since it's not really something I want to remember. Maybe I should though, to show her in the future what a strong, brave little thing she is. Love her so much.

With the beautiful fall weather comes another annual activity--soccer! Jeremy was a good sport and volunteered to coach T's team again this year--Talmage loves having his dad for the coach, and he does a really wonderful job. He definitely goes above and beyond what a regular coach does.
We are not sure if soccer is Talmage's niche, since this is what he would rather be doing during games:
Ah well, maybe he'll be the pianist in the family!
